  "description": "Cloudflare's Agents SDK turns a Durable Object into a long-lived agent: each named instance has its own SQLite database, state synced to clients over WebSockets, and alarms it can schedule for itself. It is quick to start and easy to wire wrongly. The class name in the binding has to match the export exactly, every Agent needs SQLite storage, the agents package needs nodejs_compat, and @callable() decorators need an ES2021 TypeScript target. A coding agent that gets one of these wrong finds out at deploy time, or later when state goes missing.\n\nThis loadout gives agents a reference Agent (validated callable methods, bound SQL, an idempotent scheduled method, routeAgentRequest with a 404 fallback) and a wrangler.jsonc using the current exports form, written against agents 0.30.1. A read-only Node script checks the wiring before every deploy and says exactly what to fix, including bindings that point at renamed classes. Cloudflare's docs MCP server keeps the API current, and AGENTS.md keeps renames, storage changes and deploys behind the human's go-ahead.\n",

      "content": "# AGENTS.md: Cloudflare Agents SDK project\n\nStateful agents on Cloudflare Workers with the `agents` package: each Agent instance is a Durable Object with its own\nSQLite, state, WebSockets and schedules.\n\n## Rules\n- Use the `cloudflare-agent` skill for any change to an Agent class, `routeAgentRequest`, or wrangler config.\n- Look up current Agents SDK and Workers APIs with the `cloudflare-docs` MCP server rather than memory.\n- SQL only through `this.sql` tagged templates with bound values. State changes only through `this.setState`.\n- Validate every argument of a `@callable()` method. Scheduled methods must be safe to run twice.\n- Run the skill's wiring check and the type-check before saying the work is done.\n- Never rename or delete an Agent class, change its storage, or deploy without the human's go-ahead. Each named instance is a Durable Object with its\nown SQLite database, synced state, WebSocket connections and alarms, so it remembers things and can wake itself up.\nCheck the current API in the Cloudflare docs MCP server (`cloudflare-docs`) before using anything you are unsure of;\nthe SDK moves fast (this loadout was written against `agents` 0.30.1).\n\n## Shape of an Agent (see `references/agent.ts`)\n- `class X extends Agent<Env, State>` with `initialState`. `this.state` is synced to connected clients;\n  change it only with `this.setState(...)`.\n- Create tables in `onStart()` with `this.sql` tagged templates. Values in `${}` are bound parameters, never string\n  concatenation.\n- `@callable()` marks methods clients may call over the WebSocket. Treat every argument as untrusted: check types,\n  lengths and ranges, and throw on bad input.\n- `this.schedule(secondsOrDateOrCron, \"methodName\", payload)` runs a method later from the Durable Object alarm,\n  even with no client connected. Make scheduled methods idempotent (they can run again after a failure) and pass ids,\n  not whole records, in the payload.\n- The Worker's `fetch` calls `routeAgentRequest(request, env)`, which serves `/agents/<kebab-class>/<name>` for HTTP\n  and WebSocket; return 404 when it gives `null`. Use `getAgentByName(env.X, name)` to reach an instance from\n  server code.\n- Pick instance names deliberately (a user id, a room id). Never let a client choose another user's instance without\n  an auth check in front of `routeAgentRequest`.\n\n## Wiring (see `references/wrangler.jsonc`)\n- `compatibility_flags` must include `nodejs_compat`. Keep `compatibility_date` fixed; change it on purpose.\n- Every Agent class needs a `durable_objects.bindings` entry whose `class_name` matches the exported class exactly,\n  and SQLite storage: `\"exports\": { \"X\": { \"type\": \"durable-object\", \"storage\": \"sqlite\" } }`. Projects on the older\n  `migrations` array use `new_sqlite_classes`; never `new_classes`.\n- Renaming or deleting an Agent class needs an explicit exports or migrations change. Do not just rename the class:\n  stored data is tied to it. Ask the human before any change that deletes a class.\n- `@callable()` needs TypeScript target ES2021: extend `agents/tsconfig` (it also expects `@types/node` and `vite`)\n  or set the target yourself. Do not turn on `experimentalDecorators`.\n\nRun the wiring check before every deploy:\n```bash\nnode .agents/skills/cloudflare-agent/scripts/check_agents_config.mjs\n```\n(Claude Code: `.claude/skills/...`.)
